Kilometer 14628 + 2,679m out of the garage

Ok, first of all I slept very long today and now I feel very well. But unfortunaately the moped is hit very strong. The Doctor said the needle bearing is probably going to break. Well, during the holidays I'm repairing it together with the AWO-Geschwader.
Yesterday when I arrived in Suhl I met may mother and my brother sitting in the car in our street. They wanted to drive the last few kilometers together with me. But this plan went wrong. She had probably never expected that I would arrive so early.
They had seen the last post message too late. Actually, she expected me to arrive on wednesday or thursday!
I must also say, the engine would not have been so damaged, I would have spend another night at a campground. But I thought as long as the engine is running and I could fast (with 40 km/h) reach my home.

Kilometer 14628

So I just arrived in Suhl. The moped was still very fast down the Oberhofer mountain. Now it sleeps in the garage.
Happy and with a hurting  gluteus maximus and I will soon go to bed.

Unfortunately I have no time for a visit at Heide Park. Since the engine is hit hard, the max. speed drops to 40km / h

So I am now arrived in Germany. I took a stop at my brother. It was nice to see him again. We ate together dinner and took a short look on the beach.
The moped is still running, but the engine makes rattling noises. It does not sound very positive. But it has to hold intim tomorrow morning.

The ferry has arrived on time at 7:30. Because the buffet was very tasty, I almost forgot to go on the car deck and unbuckle the moped. BUt at the end All was fine.
Now I just try to come through Denmark.

Kilometer 13633

At 19:10 clock the moped rolled on the ferry. This time, unfortunately, there where no person who has helped to make the moped fixed. So I had to tie down the vehicle myself. I hope it holds. Tomorrow morning I`ll hopefully have a delicious breakfast, because I booked a buffet onboard.
The last two days in Oslo were very relaxing. Today we have eaten sushi. It was very tasty. This morning I drove the next 49 km to Oslo. The moped runs and runs, so I am very satisfied.

Kilometer 13576

The last two days we were hiking in the mountains. We have dared to climb to the "trolltunga". Actually in my opinion the way down was more difficult that the way up. But the landscape was breathtaking. I also took the one or other picture that looks great.
On Sunday evening, the ferry is booked for Frederickshavn, so I'm on monday at 7:30 clock in Denmark.
Today I brought the first stage behind me. I parked the moped in Hønefoss (50km before Oslo). Now I take the bus to Oslo, where I will spend the night together with the other two. Tomorrow there will be a small sightseeing tour, I think.

Today we went downhill. The GoPro has filmed. The videos are not bad. Maybe a little shaky. Cause I haven't any experience with video-editing programs, I can, unfortunately, just upload
a picture.

Kilometer 13333

I just wanted to say "hello" again. Unfortunately I haven't written anything in the last 2 days as there was plenty things to do.
Today I was able to repair the brake lever, because my friend (Felix) arrived today night. The reparation has not even lasted 2 minutes. Now the moped is well going. Generally, it is in very good condition. One does not realize that it has traveled such a long distance. Today was the best weather so we took some nice pictures. Tomorrow we go downhill, of course with the GoPro.
In a week I will begin to travel down to Suhl, because if you haven't noticed I'm just at half time. While I'm driving to Suhl I'll update the blog daily, of course I try also to manage it this week

Incidentally, there was a nice surprise for me in Hemsedal, which was waiting for me at the finish. Prepared by Papa and Biene.
We were also skiing with the moped (of course not), only for a few photos.

Kilometer 13274

Yesterday at 1:46 there was it. The destination Hemsedal is reached. After nearly 5.5 hours driving the last 220km from Oslo to Hemsedal have been successfully completed. In the last 75km I was accompanied by Biene and my dad on the bike. They originally wanted to fish me out at a petrol station, therefore, my dad put a cell phone, which was glowing in his hand and a white reflector. He was standing half on the road, so I actually couldn`t ovelook him. But in the prevailing darkness and because my thoughts was only fixed on Hemsedal, I did not recognize him and just drove ahead. After less than 10 minutes they had caught up with me. But until I understood, that the driver next to me was my dad, a few moments passed. Then the joy was large. Shortly before Gol (at the next petrol station) we stopped and said "Hello" to each other. After a short break we took on the last 46km together.
Finally arrived in Hemsedal, at first we had to take a photo of arrival.
However, the bed inGröndalen is 15.5 km away, which I still had to drive.
But the last few kilometers wasn`t so difficult anymore.

Kilometer 13061

I have now left the ferry and drove through Oslo. It`s so terrible with a moped in Olso, because of that I didn`t care about these highway rules etc.The only advantage is that I had the short piece of the E18, at least in the right lane, for my own. Now I drive to Hönefoss. Let's see how far I get with my 5 liters I filled in in Frederickshavn.

Kilometer 13009

Yesterday I spent a hole day at the beach. Actually I wanted to sleep, but short after 8 clock it started in the next tent to scream. And then I couldn`t sleep any longer. I was also one more time in the shop  and now I got the things I wanted. When I wanted to move away from the parking place, I was stopped by the Danish police. I first suspected they had something to complain about at the baggage security. Finally, however, he had only viewed the insurance plate and then wanted to know if it was a moped or a motorcycle.
This morning I got up a little earlier because the ferry leaves at 10:00 and I have to be there at least 9:00 o`clock And I have to pack all my stuff including the tent.
After I was finished packing and had paid, I wanted to drive to the ferry, but the moped very difficult starts. And in the middle of the journey, it suddenly stopped. It sounded as if the petrol was empty but I had 5 liters refueled with my arrival in Frederickshavn. Because of that  could not be so. I turned the tap on reserve and see it works. Shortly after, the same happened again. Then when I looked at the fuel hose, it was completely empty. However, the tank was half full. Then I removed the tank bag and the petrol flowed into the carburetor. So it had only closed the small air hole that  equalizes the pressure in the tank. With the solved problem I went to the ferry. The rest went smoothly. And the buffet on board was good (my first hot meal since Saturday night). Meanwhile I left the Danish Sea and I welcomed the Norwegian Sea. In about an hour the little boat put on and I'll take the last 220km towards Hemsedal.

Kilometer 13000 (juppi)

There was no cheap chance for rebooking, but I've found a nice campsite (after I drove 2 times around it), which will be my home for two days. Hopefully the weather holds on, because a bright blue sky just wonderful.

I just went shopping to get milk and jam.
But when I artivrd on the
Campsite, I noticed that this no
milk, but a kind of milk cultures.
But anyone has to drink it, yes.
Tomorrow I'll probably relax at the beach.

Kilometer 12992

I just arrived in Frederickshavn. My father tries to book the ferry for tomorrow. But if there isn`t any chance to then I`m going to search for a nice and cheap campground.

Kilometer 12963

Until now I exactly drove 1000km. As the night was not so pleasant, I looked for a nice place to have breakfast. At first I thought there isn`t a nice place in Denmark at all. As well I was wrong. After a few kilometers of driving, appeared a beautiful sand beach. The time was 7:15, so I had the hole beach for my own. Unfortunately, the photo became not so good because the sun could shine directly into my lens through the cloudless sky. But you can imagine I think. Breakfast was bread and Hungarian salami, unfortunately with some sand, because it was a bit windy. This, however, did not bother me further, because the rest was compensation enough. Today is very hot, so I have to pause a lot, but there are only about 30 kilometers left to Frederickshavn.

That`s how a cold night in Denmark looks like. I didn`t drive so far yesterday, because I was very tired. This time I slept on a wooden bench. It was pretty uncomfortable and the sleeping bag is not the best and it was really cold. So I woke up at 4 clock and now I need at first a warm tea.

Now I've been in Denmark for a few hours and I can say that here is a monotonous landscape. Fields far and wide and it is very windy so it`s not that easy to drive a straight line. However, the funny thing about Denmark are the traffic lights (in the picture you can see how 5 traffic lights show for One man whether to drive or not, I've also seen some with 6 lights aswell). The Simson buzzes like a Simson is buzzing. Until now, there were no further problems and that is a good thing. Today I'll probably re-insert a night shift, insofar as it is not too cold, because I`m not in mud to search for a campground  and because Denmark is not so cheap anyway.

Kilometer 12630

I just arrived in Flensburg, of course, without any points (I think this little joke can only unterstand a german), and I immediately found a bank. So the internet access in Denmark is secured, hopefully!

Kilometer 12557

The clock shows 11:11 and I'm sitting in cloudy weather on a park bench in Rendsburg for breakfast. I`m eating rolls and knacker (kind of german sausages), because the jam also got hurt with the little accident. I have spent the night at  Forellenseecampingplatz Padenstedt. Next to me, two Frenchmen, one who wanted to drive to Iceland and the other to the North Cap. However, both had significantly more motorized bikes than I have,  so nobody wants to come with me through Denmark. I can upload the pictures as soon as I have found a computer with internet access because I did not take the pictures with the cell phone camera. Today I have to find a lever seller somewhere . Furthermore, I want to cross the German border today. However, I should just go to a bank to make sure myself whether there is enough money yet for a little Internet in the Danish country.

Kilometer 12376

So, now I've driven about 400 km, I`m just before Hamburg and I still can say nothing hurts. The moped goes well and the 34 kg luggage are still in place.
But the moped has fallen down by a strong gust of wind yesterday. Thus, the front right brake lever is broken, so I`ve to use the foot brake even more. I have spent the night on a porch of an abandoned beer garden. I have also taken photos, but not with the cell phone, unfortenetly. However, today I would like to drive a campground.

Tomorrow the journey starts. Today I did the last few things (replacement canister filled, ...) Tomorrow in the early afternoon I' going to take a test drive with all the luggage to make sure that everything holds as I had imagined. Otherwise, I'm really well prepared (I think). Just yesterday we (Klaus with me) installed a cigarette lighter in the electrical, so now I can load the cell phone while driving - it works pretty good.
All in all, the moped is in a good condition. We have changed the chain, brake pads and also looked through the carburetor and a few other small items.
Tomorrow I'm going to start around 4 pm.
